Beautiful Turku

On a bright, sunny day in November, trees were casting beautiful mural-like shadows on nearby buildings. The yellow building in the photo below was the first one to get some shadow art on its wall. Light, shadow, and Turku skyline.  These pictures are taken in a building on Rauhankatu street. Thanks to the excellent weather, the view from a 9th floor balcony was amazing, and I was able to snap detailed photos of the Turku skyline as well. Myllysilta (Mill Bridge) is one of the many bridges crossing Aurajoki (Aura river) in the city of Turku, Southwest Finland. The bridge was built in 2011. The Lights of Myllysilta - Turku, Finland "Mylly" means "mill" in Finnish. The bridge is named after an old mill, Samppalinna Mill, built in 1860. The interplay of lights and water and their reflections on the bridge create an ever-changing display of light art.
